More rockets are fired from Gaza today

The Gaza NGO Safety Office reports that since last night 5 rockets and 4 mortar shells have been fired towards Israel. One of the rockets apparently exploded prematurely. The IDFSpokesperson tweeted that 3 rockets hit Israel today. No-one was injured. Perhaps the mortars also fell short of the border?

Three rockets hit Israel earlier today, tweets IDFSpokesperson. All were fired from Gaza. Two of them hit a factory in the town of Sedrot where citizens have a mere 15 seconds to run for shelter when the siren sounds.

Rocket remains found in Eilat

Friday morning’s Israel Hayom Hebrew print newspaper reported that a loud blast had been reported by residents in Eilat and that police were searching for rocket remains. On Friday evening the remains of two Grad rockets were found (Jerusalem Post). It is thought that they were fired from the Sinai.

The Israel Security Agency reported a significant decrease in terror attacks during the month of July. To read the report in full, click here. In July there were 64 attacks compared with 165 in June. 30 of these took place in Judea & Samaria, 6 in Jerusalem and 28 originated from Gaza.
