This week was election week in Israel. 12 parties out of over 30 passed the threshold of voters to gain seats in the 19th knesset. Three of these are Arab parties which together have 11 seats out of the 120.

The Israel Security Agency reports that 55% less people were killed in terror attacks in Israel in 2012 compared with 2011. Ten Israelis were killed last year compared to 22 the year before.  This year for the first time in a long time, no-one was killed in the Jerusalem and West Bank areas. Palestinian Media Watch reports that a Palestinian Authority Minister claimed last week that Jews have no connection to the Western Wall in Jerusalem. To read in full, click here. The Western Wall was the western wall of the temple and is the holiest place for Jews who come from all over the world to pray there.
